Does time never change for girls….?

India , a devotee country where people worship goddess Durga, Laxmi, Saraswati and Kaali. We Indians celebrate Navratri and worship 9 goddesses for 9 days of Navratra. In Indian mythological books I always found a woman as a strong character. She has strength, passion, anger, Grace and love. Many artists have said that women are the most beautiful creation of God

In a famous Sanskrit shlok “यत्र नार्यस्तु पूज्यन्ते , रमन्ते तत्र देवता “ (yatr naryastu pujyante, tatr devta ramnte) means gods live at the same place where women get respect or treated respectfully.

    kanjak-on-navar_31_03_2014

This is what our ancestors had taught us respect women” but when I see the history of India i found the reality is different. When I was in 10th standard teacher gave us  the topic Dowry and said to write 300 words and I was like “what should i write…??  Who ask for dowry in present era??? ” then I copied the eassy from key/guide book (sanjeev passbook famous guide book). That was the time I felt dowry cases have been old, today the Laws are so much powerful even some women misuse these kind of laws as i used to hear and read these kind of news.  dowry2

But the last Saturday incident that happened in Bengaluru opened up  my eyes. I remember my mother usually say

In early age,  women were uneducated because of some boundations and limitations of their family.  Women were not dependent upon herself  financially,  and that’s the only reason she could not take decision of leaving her husband however his behavior was. They used to tolerate whatever happening in their life. But nowadays girls are not like that , today’s women are BOLD and BRAVE. She know her rights, she is educated and financially independent. ”

and  I’m too agree with her views. But her maternal grandma used to say, “The time for women will not change ever if the mindset of people does not change“.   I was like “its not like that , the time will change”…….. but today I felt that really time never change for woman… She was always a victim. When a girl child take birth  people show happiness from outside but internally they  find her as burden…. Her family feels she is a burden. They brought  up her  with the high class values like girls can’t do this and that, a girl can’t speak louder, girl can’t wear this or that and etc . And when she get married to someone who loves to torture her mentally and physically people tell her a woman can only become a homemaker, obey  your husband & your in-laws and live with him no matter how he or they behave with you…… No matter how harsh they I. . ….. .   No matter how worst your husband  is with you……. No matter how much they torture you mentally or physically…. . Live with your husband  , now his house is yours , if you leave your husbands home, society blame you for this but they don’t understand a girl goes in a palanquin not in a Bier . This is what we teach our girls.

And when someone ask for dowry after marriage, girls parents fulfill their wishes.  main-qimg-39f6ea231ccf6b8e861450a75a7db052

I don’t know why parents  feel disreputed  if a girl come back to home after marriage.. ..???

why they get ready to give money to the people who assault her…..??

why they think that dowry will save their image if they ready to give the demanded amount. ….??

Are we living in a stone age?? Or our thinking is still narrow. . .??

The reason why I wrote this post is the dowry murder case of Bhavya handa which i read in The News Minute .
“A 26 year old girl Bhavya, working in a Bengaluru based company, married with a boy in November 2016. She had met this boy in her office, they were together for 4 years before marriage. After marriage, the boy and his family demanded dowry, they tortured her mentally and physically. She died on Saturday after a fall from her balcony. Her neighbors and building security guard heard her last scream and a thud sound .”

    484509-dowry

The decision of marriage with a boy, with whom she wanted to spend her life, proved  wrong. She was educated and financially independent, then why this happened with her….??

Was her life too cheap so that she had to face this tragic death?

Are our moral values this much high that a girl need to be victim unwillingly?

Will our society give away “best spouse” award to her for spending life with her husband?

    OR,

Is it truth that the time never change if the mindset does not change?

Will such time come when people actually respect girls ?

Will such time come when people will  give the actual rights of equality?

Hope to see this one day.

SUCCESS-It’s not just a word. It’s everyone’s desire. There’s no one who doesn’t want success. A seven letter word has a power to make you successful. Something like everyone wants to be like you.

You get only one chance to get success and that time you must have a courage to take this chance “a risk”. Without taking this risk you can’t get this desirable position where everyone adore you, admire you and accept you as an ideal.

“Life is a risk, if you have courage to take a risk

Then surely you get success & prosperity.”

  • Privacy – a freedom

    Privacy – a freedom

Private life is the fundamental right of every person. Every person has a private part of his or her life that he or she doesn’t want to share with anyone.  For me, privacy is the right to be alone and keep your information private. Privacy give you a right to choose a person with whom you love to share your information.

Society, with lack of privacy is intolerable but with privacy wouldn’t be society at all. So the balance is needed, privacy gives a right to  create his or her own space, to make personal decisions or views and it’s the right that makes everyone free.

Without privacy life is like a hell. You would be highly vulnerable to the control of others. There’s no freedom at all. You would be more likely to be manipulated.

Society for me, privacy is a freedom. A freedom of making decisions, having thoughts or views and most of all freedom of making yourself private.

  • Overworked and underpaid

At some point of professional life  every person feels like overworked and underpaid. He or she felt I worked for long hours passionately and no one said thanks. The feeling is nothing more than an impulsive reaction to frustration. The less paying employee felt undervalued and when that happens, no one wins.

Less paid employees replaced skilled employees and may have a higher salary. If you feel you’re really underpaid, take an action right now. First, calculate your worth. There are so many online  tools like glassdoor. You can google too then you may find out you’re paid more fairer then you thought.

Let your company know you feel you’re worth more because you’re overworked and underpaid.

  • My winter love…..

    My winter love…..

Well,  Winter is officially upon us and I love that season because I like to cover myself with a blanket in frizzed mornings. I refuse to shift one place to another without a cup of tea. On weekends when I leave my home to meet my friends or anywhere I find myself skipping down to the nearest cafe to have a hot drink to keep me warm.

You know every cup makes memories. Like a good fragrance, it fatches distant memories from my heart…. Indeed, memories are always in your heart not in your mind.A cup of ginger – basel tea makes my day. It reminds me my exam days, no, nights…. Yes, the group study. I have fond memories of giggles with my friends over cups of tea that intended to keep us awake in chilled nights so we could study… But lead to distract into chats.

One day we decided to have a view of “Jalmahal” in January morning at 5am and planned how to go.We were all set. With an excitement we all woke up at 5am and carried everything we needed like our phones, bags, glares and camera to take a photo and keys of bike. And then we accelerated from our locality  to jalmahal with bikes and had A cup of coffee from a street vendor for the best view of jalmahal at 6am.
Click this photo last year January 11th,2016.

Do you know what’s a cup of tea for me? All that kind of madness, baseless chats ,laughs , emotions which create best stories to be remember… this combo of feelings create MY CUP OF TEA.

Every single sip of tea with samosa stands for all the comfort and memories of winter perhaps a little escape from reality! Which is much needed at some point of life ..and during this writeup i am taking my favorite beverage ,yes TEA ..Cheers!!!!

  • Let’s talk

    Let’s talk

Depression, a major depressive disorder, is the second leading reason of death 15 to 29 years old by commit suicide. A rising issue of depression in the world is unfortunately a very common and serious mental health condition that can happen at all ages. More than 300 million people diagnose with depression every year globally according to World Health Organization February 2017 report. In India,10 million people diagnose with depression every year and mostly of them are women, children and younger generation. So what is the reason of being depressed in childhood or in young age? We know the answer competition, unemployment, poverty. But how these affect us mentally..?  Are we not able to take any mental pressure? Or are those people who suffering from depression are weaker than us??

My reply is no, those people are as mentally strong as we are. Those guys who suffer from this disorder are as normal as we are. We just need to know about what depression really is and how it affects us.

    So what is depression..?

Depression is a serious mood disorder that occurs by change in brain chemistry and these changes affect negatively on your feeling, thinking and daily actions. According to National Institute of Mental Health the reasons of change in brain chemistry can be genetic, biological, environmental and psychological. It means there’s no particular reason of depression, it can happen at any age but there are some risk factors of depression are:

    • Personal or family history of depression
    • Major life trauma or stress
    • Physical illness and medications

The person who suffers from depression is not just feeling down or sad or low…it’s more than that. Depressed person will always say:

    • I’m nothing, totally worthless.
    • I’m a failure.
    • All faults are mine.
    • Nobody needs me.
    • Nothing good ever happen to me.
    • Life is not worth living.

These are the thought that come to his or her mind every time which are cause of depressed  feelings like:

    • Guilt
    • Long time sadness
    • Overwhelmed
    • Weak
    • Frustrated
    • Irritated
    • Disappoint
    • Indecisive
    • poor concentration
    • hopeless
    • helpless
    • Lack of confidence
    • Low self worth

Depression is a feeling of something that presses him down emotionally then mentally and slowly how these feelings and thoughts affect his physical conditions:

    • All time feeling tired
    • Sick and run down
    • Headache and muscle pain
    • Churning gut
    • Disturbed sleeping and appetite
    • Significant weight loss or gain

And these emotional, mental and physical change could seen in his/her behavior or actions:

    • Not going out anymore
    • Not getting things done work
    • Lack of communication with friends and family
    • Do not take interest in any activity
    • Poor concentration
    • Living alone
    • Relaying on drugs such as alcohol

These are some signs of a person who is suffering from depression these thoughts and feelings can change the behavior of person completely. It can ruin relationships, cause of problem at work place and make it difficult to recover from illness.

How to diagnose and treat depression…?

It’s very unfortunate for us that how a common treatable mental health issue is rising globally. The reason of burden of depression is lack of awareness in society about depression and communication or talk about depression.

There is a myth about depression:

    • Myth: depression is an untreatable disease or once a depressed, always a depressed.
    • Fact: It’s a treatable disease and yes it is go away permanently.

    How can you detect depression?

You can consult with a doctor who asks you some specific questions and doing some physical examinations such as blood test, screening etc.

After diagnose with depression doctor suggest according to symptoms  you therapy or medications (only if he is a medical doctor )for moderate and severe depression. They provide you such treatments:

    • Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT)
    • Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT)
    • Antidepressant medications
    • Medication and exercises to boost other feel-good brain chemicals

After treatment which lasts on average 4 to 6 months in major depression conditions we need to make patient comfortable and positive.

As depression is a rising mental health issue of the world WHO starts a programme mhGAP (Mental Health Gap Action Programme). This programme aims to help every country to increase their services to aware people about mental health conditions and depression. We all need to talk about depression it’s just a treatable mental health condition. It’s not a shameful thing if you’re suffering from a mental health issue, may be your initiative can save others life.  A simple communication may help the one who is suffering from depression or save someone’s life who is going to end his/her life. We need to make him or her believe that You’re not alone and let’s share with me.”

So let’s talk about depression and aware other people too. May be you’re not a psychotherapist but you can be a good  listener and suggest him/her to consult with health care. I believe ” A simple word exchange or communication is the best cure of disappointment and depression.”

The only way to save someone’s life.

  • How can an Internet sensation become a Threat

How can an Internet sensation become a Threat

There are people who love to start their morning with checking Facebook notifications, Whatsapp messages, Instagram posts and what’s trending on Twitter. If you are one of them. . . Don’t worry we are one of the third fourth people of the world who spend their 70% time on Internet everyday. From a school student to the country’s first person can’t resist himself to be online once in a day.

Internet has generated a cyber space that gives anyone an opportunity to explore their knowledge, their business or work. The amazing effects of downloading and uploading data faster than its previous generations make us to live a one click ahead life.

Today we all are becoming a techno friendly online users who learn online, teach online, read online, shop online, watch online, play online and talk online except eating,  pooping or sleeping we do 80% work online. We have our own virtual life in this amazing virtual world.  These are some amazing effects of being online which is friendly and cool but every coin has an another side…. And this amazing world has too an another side that has some dark side effects.

We all know that something that has gone out or has been viral on Internet once, can never be removed. It looks nice if it’s a public information but what if it’s a personal one…?? And isn’t it too dangerous if we don’t know who circulate this on Internet…??

Well, I am talking about the new Internet sensation – Sarahah an anonymous feedback message application which is designed by ZainAlbdin Tawfik, a Saudi man, with the motto to allow people send constructive message to one another. And because of its anonymous nature this application has already become popular and downloaded by more than 10 million users in less than two months of its launching date 13th July.

The  phrase “give me a mask and I’ll tell you the truth.”  fits this application because it provide sender a mask of anonymity to the  recipient. Some teenagers are using this app to  reveal their honest funny and casual confessions……..

But bullies are also the part of our society and the anonymous nature of app encourage their bullying behavior. If you think I am giving you the idea of Cyber Bullying….. No, no.  There are some reports which claim that teenage bullies are using this app to post cruel and offensive comments, trolls and threats to other. Few parents are complaining about their children being bullied on Sarahah, if you see Google play store comments.

Well , the  creator of Sarahah said Sarahah user ID will be revealed if requires. So beware if you are  misusing this platform. After this news may be many people will try to delete their ID on Sarahah… But don’t forget guys people who are not registered on Sarahah can too send a message anonymously . And if they send  offensive content, they will also face the casualties.

These kind of applications which are created for fun sometime can be harmful if it is being misused. Remember the overuse of anything causes harm either its over eating or over using internet. Beware if you are over using this kind of apps , it can lead you towards the trap. And giving less information about yourself is the key of being protected.
If you get an offensive message that make you uneasy… Take a screen shot and complain against the sender of message,  Sarahah will reveal all the details of sender after which sender may face strict action against him or her.

  • Fragrances of Nature

    Fragrances of Nature

Three days ago, when i visited the beautiful Amer palace. The scenes of fort and forested hill area with the fragrance of rain and soil was unforgettable for me.

During my visit, i was passing through the market area where my mind was attracted by a fragrance…..i felt  like the fragrance of thousand roses were mixed in the air of  the palace. I eagerly wanted to know where the fragrance came from…so i looked back  because i was standing in front of the last shop of the area and found a shop where two people opened the Jar  of rose Ittar (it’s an essential oil derived from botanical sources). There were 9 jars with different colors. Each jar locked with  a different fragrance in it.

I bought the red one which’s placed in empty jar.

Few months ago, i posted my status on Facebook,” The Fragrance of a flower and the Stench of marshy is as same as Human Nature…..never hide from anyone.”

They only spread their fragrance and stench in the air.

  • Amer Fort – the hill Fort of amer

Amer Fort – the hill Fort of amer

Amer Fort is located on a forested hill area of Amer (i a small  town with an area of 4 kilometers), located about 11 kilometers from Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan state. The Amer is one of the tourist attractions in Jaipur for its artistic Hindu style. At its front, the palace overlooks Maota Lake which is the main source of water then.  Amer was a small place built by Meenas. The Amer Fort is originally believed to have been built by Raja Man Singh, a Kachwaha king of Amer, during 967 CE. The palace underwent improvement and addition by rulers over the next 150 years, until Kachwahas shifted their capital to Jaipur in 1727, during the time of Raja Sawai Jai Singh 2.

A narrow 4WD road leads up to the entrance gate of Fort which is known as Suraj Pol ( sun gate).

The palace is diveded into Four main sections  with its own entry gate and Courtyard. It consists of the Diwan-i-aam (Hall for public), Diwan-e-khas (Hall for private people), Sheesh Mahal (Mirror palace) and Sukh Niwas (residence of pleasure).

The entrance of first courtyard Jalebi Chawk

The second Gate Ganesh Pol and Courtyard

The Ganesh gate was the entrance of the Raja’s private palaces. The gate was built by Mirza Raja Jai Singh. Above this gate is Suhag Mandir where ladies of royal family used to watch functions held in Diwan-i-aam through the latticed Windows

Lord Ganesh on top of the gate.

This gate was made by sandle wood and the yellow work on the celling was done by Gold.

The garden is known as Rani ka bagicha (queen’s garden) situated in middle of Diwan-i-aam and Diwan-e-khas.

If you stand in front of the flower, the other person can see your reflection in both side square mirrors. Like this…

This is the “magic flower” of Mirror Palace a flower with two hovering butterflies , the flower has seven unique designs including a fish tail, Lotus,  hooded cobra, elephant’s trunk, lion’s tail, cob of corn and scorpion. Each one is visible by a special way of partially hiding the panel with the help of hands.

    The way of roof top

    The forth courtyard

This is the place where ladies of royal family and mistresses lived, also known as Sukh Mahal. This courtyard has many living rooms which are open into a same corridor. It is said that king was visited this place by choice without knowing to which queen  he was visiting.

The market and cafes in fort

The market is situated in the area where normal people who were not belong to royal family lived.

This is the tank of water storage which is restricted to visit.

  • “Local Trains” heart of Mumbai

    “Local Trains” heart of Mumbai

       #thedailypost  #local

Do you know why Mumbai is famous…??? Well, there are many reasons but I think it’s famous for three reasons

    1. It’s a Film City of India

    2. Famous Street food Vada pav

    3. Local trains

Yes, local trains…. The Mumbai suburban railways is one of the busiest commuter train system in the world and  the oldest railway system in the Asia which is built by British Government, every day 7.593 million people ride by 2,342 trains (so crowded). On 16th April, 1853 at 15:35,  the first 14 coach train ran between Bori Bandar to Thane which took 1hour 25minute to complete 35 kilometer long journey with a one halt at Bhandup to refill the train’ water tank. Since 1991, it has been expended rapidly.

Why local is a heart of Mumbai..??  (Many reasons)

    Mumbai railway station

Mumbai local trains still run on electric transmitted through overhead wires. (the most outdated rail system in the world)

The Mumbai railway is the cheapest mode of transport in the city.  The rail network spread across 465 kilometers which is operated by Indian Railway’s two zonal divisions western railways and central railways (fast commuter rail corridors)

and  the most expensive ticket costs 30 Rupees. (don’t you think it’s a money savor amount)

The efficient and world famous Mumbai Ka Dabbawala’s System of delivering food in Mumbai primarily relies on the Mumbai local trains.

Mumbains would go hungry without locals

For some reason(I don’t know), the first ladies coach near the motorman’s coach is called the Video Coach. (see image may be you get the reason)
The place where unknown people know eachothers by their faces.

The Mumbai locals are non stop-able. The engine of a local rest only for 3-4hours per day. Trains play a major role in economy of Mumbai and the lives of people.  If locals are stop for a day, it will effect both financially and personally to the riders.  So..

In a true sense, the “local train”  network is the heart of Mumbai.

  • Puncture, Tyre and Bicycle- The best childhood story ever

Puncture, Tyre and Bicycle- The best childhood story ever

Whenever we read the word “Puncture” the first and only thing comes in our mind is Tyre because Bicycles, Tyres and Punctures are best memories of our childhood. Bicycle is the first vehicle of every child  and the moment our parents give us our first two wheeler as a gift that gives the feeling as we are getting our own  car or  airplane.

    7a24ce93604428a52c13d3c318d0f9fd

If I share you my experience i still remember it was like the evening when I got my first bicycle of Hero company I felt like i am the richest person among my friends just because…..I got a new bike and I had sleepless night because I was too excited to show my new bicycle to my school friends. Well, my bicycle gave me my best buddies, when  tyre used to get punctured the friend who walks with you to the cycle repair shop becomes your  good friend and the rest people who left you in that situation are not friends. To teach them a lesson, next day we, a good friend and I,  used to go to the school parking area and puncture their bicycle tyres.

    1468845748849710.jpg

To puncture neighbor’s car tyre and putting pins on road ways were fun in childhood and give the moments to remember today and smile. The moment of bliss.

We all had this kind of fun and the word puncture  always  remind me those sweet bonding , teamwork and fun of my childhood.
